PAINTER, MAKER & EVERYTHING INBETWEEN
| Her works serve as a visual diary of her emotional exploration and inner transformation |

ABOUT/Artist bio
Grace E. J. Wiggins is a contemporary fine artist from Mersea Island, Essex. She earned her First Class with Honours BA degree in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts in July 2024 and is currently completing her Masters degree at Arts University Plymouth.

Her work serves as a tactile journal of emotional exploration and transformation with a focus on ‘new growth’. Her obsessive and repeated motif of ‘forms and growths’ mirror how she sees herself, others and our connections whilst incorporating colours inspired by natural growths such as lichens, moss and flowers. Using mixed media and embroidery on canvas, she embeds her time and thought into each piece, balancing playfulness and experimentation.
In navigating a fast-paced world, her practice values slowness, vulnerability and attentive making as a means of becoming more observant, to find the beauty in the small things and to sustain a creative practice.
Her work invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys of growth and self-discovery, offering a gentle reminder that through art, we can find solace, inspiration and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
