PAINTER, MAKER & EVERYTHING INBETWEEN
| Her works serve as a visual diary of her emotional exploration and inner transformation |

ABOUT
Grace E. J. Wiggins is a contemporary fine artist from Mersea Island, Essex. She earned her BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts in July 2024, graduating with First Class Honours, and is currently completing her MA in Fine Art at Arts University Plymouth.

Her work serves as a tactile visual journal of emotional exploration and transformation as she navigates new experiences in her twenties. Embracing vulnerability through her art has allowed her to become more attuned to her thoughts and emotions. With each brushstroke and intricate stitch, she weaves narratives of strength and sensitivity, balancing playfulness and experimentation. Her pieces invite viewers to reflect on their own journeys of growth and self-discovery.
The interplay of colour, texture, and material in her work mirrors the complexity of human connection, celebrating the beauty found in both the highs and lows of lived experience. Her art stands as a testament to creativity’s power as a tool for healing and introspection - a gentle reminder that through art, we can find solace, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

Currently, Wiggins is exploring the role of repetition and mindfulness within her practice, deepening her material investigations. Drawing inspiration from the natural world; flowers, pebbles, and mould, she continues to develop her textile influences. Through natural dyeing, embroidery, and material collaboration, she seeks to uncover the depth and possibility within expanded painting.
