ABOUT

Grace E.J. Wiggins, a contemporary artist from Mersea Island, Essex. She received her bachelors of fine art from Norwich University of the Arts in July 2024, achieving a First Class with Honours.

Her works serve as a visual diary of her emotional exploration and inner transformation as she leaves her teenage years behind to navigate her 20s. Her recent acceptance and encouragement of vulnerability through her art has allowed her to become more in tune with her thoughts and emotions, whilst understanding the importance of letting go and moving on.

With each brushstroke and intricate stitch, she weaves a narrative of strength and vulnerability, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences of growth and self-discovery. The blend of colours and textures in her work mirrors the complexities of human connections, celebrating the beauty found in both the smooth and rough patches of life.

Grace's art is a testament to the power of creativity as a tool for healing and introspection, a gentle reminder that through art, we can find solace, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

Looking ahead, her plan is to continue with her therapeutic practice in the search for emotional liberation through expanded painting. Her main aim is to continue with the material exploration of canvas, ink and water to uncover the depth that's possible.
